Welcome to Theris. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Theris mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the EU) to use Theris. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

2. Your Account

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

  • You agree to provide accurate information and keep it up to date. You are responsible for all activity under your account.

  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

3. User Content

  • Theris allows you to submit places, photos, reviews, and other content ("User Content"). You retain ownership of your User Content, but you grant Theris a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, distribute, and use it to operate and improve the Service.

  • You represent that you own or have the rights to the content you submit, and that it does not infringe on others' rights.

  • 4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Post false, misleading, defamatory, obscene, or unlawful content.

  • Harass, threaten, or impersonate others.

  • Submit fake reviews or manipulate ratings.

  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service.

  • Use bots, scrapers, or automated tools without permission. Interfere with the Service's operation or security.

  • 5. Business Listings & Claims

  • Business owners may claim and manage their listings. Claims are subject to verification. You represent that you are authorized to manage the business you claim. Theris reserves the right to remove or modify listings that violate these Terms.

6. Subscriptions & Payments

  • Subscriptions are processed through Apple (StoreKit) or Google (Play Billing). Charges are billed to your Apple ID or Google account. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage and cancel subscriptions from your device's account settings.

  • Refunds are handled according to Apple's or Google's policies, not Theris.

  • 7. Moderation & Removal

  • We may review, edit, or remove any User Content or listing that violates these Terms or is otherwise objectionable, at our sole discretion and without notice.

8. Intellectual Property

  • The Theris name, logo, design, and all related content (excluding User Content) are owned by Theris and protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. You may not copy, modify, or use them without permission.

9. Third-Party Services

  • The Service integrates with third-party services (Google Maps, Google Places, Firebase, Apple, etc.). Your use of those services is also governed by their respective terms.

10. Disclaimers

  • The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. Theris does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any content, including business information provided by users or third parties.

11. Limitation of Liability

  • To the maximum extent permitted by law, Theris shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.

12. Indemnification

  • You agree to indemnify and hold Theris harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms.

13. Termination

  • You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access for any reason, including violation of these Terms. Upon termination, sections that by their nature should survive (content license, disclaimers, limitations of liability) will continue to apply.

14. Changes to These Terms

  • We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via in-app notice or email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

15. Governing Law

  • These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Indiana, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Indiana.
